Google Chrome Hacks
1. First off: Easter-egg
On the URL, type in: about:internets
This will show the old Windows 3.11 screensaver of pipes. The tab name will read “Dont clog the tubes”. I used to remember this when I was a kid. After school, I’ll go to his office and poke around. I always see this screensaver on his computer.
2. Other hacks:
about:version – version info on Google Chrome
about:stats
about:memory
about:plugins
about:histograms
about:cache
about:dns
about:crash - will show the pitiful crash icon
3. To clear those *ahem* logs, as well as those annoying Most Visited on the front page of Chrome, go to Toolbar (located at the upper right) -> Clear browsing data…
4. This is for web developers. Go to a website. When the page is loaded, right click then click Inspect Element. This will bring up a psedo-firebug screen as shown below:
You can inspect CSS, DOM, HTML other stuffs here. Also, on the lower left corner, there’s an icon about greater than sign named Show Console. Click on this and it’s bring up a cursor. You can then type in DOM elements and nodes and stuff. Its pretty handy. Although, i still haven’t found those debug functionality like Breakpoints and Watches. If you have information if it really exist, please share it here. But I doubt there are any.
On the upper left, click on the Resources. It will show you this information about Times the elements are loaded and the Sizes:

Got the Chrome blues?
Here’s a quick fix to darken the appearance of the bright blue browser recently released. So here you will find a ‘fix’ – or at least my choice for colors (surprised the Android team didn’t suggest this)
To apply this theme, simply download the default.dll and place it in the following directory: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application.2.149.27\Themes
Make sure you back up the default.dll that is in there!
